Adam Levy brings over 25 years of diverse legal experience to the bench as the Presiding Judge on CBS Media Ventures' new court program, ADAM'S LAW, created by Judge Judy Sheindlin.
Previously, Levy was a Presiding Judge on Prime Video's Tribunal Justice and Justice on Trial.
Having served two terms as Putnam County District Attorney in NY, Levy used his experience as a private practitioner to create pragmatic and impactful programs and initiatives to improve the fair and impartial administration of justice in the county where he lived, worked, and raised his family. This hands-on approach included extensive in-service training for all newly hired prosecutors and an open-door policy for his staff. Leading by example, Levy personally prosecuted a wide-range of criminal cases, including sexual assaults, political corruption, and witness intimidation matters.
During his tenure, Putnam County not only experienced a 40 percent drop in property crime, but it was also voted the safest county in NYS under his tenure. Levy ensured that Putnam County confronted tough social issues head-on, focusing on treatment for people suffering from addiction and furthering the resources to the Child Advocacy Center to ensure child sexual abuse and domestic and sexual violence victims have a safe place to share their stories and seek justice.
Levy was the Founding Member of the Putnam County Intelligence Committee, which united law enforcement across jurisdictions to share information and more effectively fight crime within NYS and federally.
Cutting-edge, intervention-focused protocols marked Levy's administration. The award-winning Drug Treatment Court Program he expanded helped countless Putnam County residents transcend addiction and saved taxpayers the expense and citizens the trauma of incarceration. Levy initiated community education and high school forums on bullying, cyberbullying, and prescription drug and heroin abuse to help prevent crime in future generations.
Levy also dedicated time to training the next generation of lawyers as well. He was an instructor at The National Institute of Trial Advocacy and a long-time educator at The New York Prosecutors Training Institute. These trainings helped lead, guide, and mentor young prosecutors in cross-examination and trial strategy skills as they began their legal careers.
Levy's expertise was built through a lifetime of legal service. As a 1992 Hofstra Law School graduate, Levy began his career as an ADA at the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office, where he prosecuted a wide range of violent and non-violent offenders with a practice focused on seeking justice for women and children who were the victim of physical and sexual assault.
He then co-founded his legal partnership, Levy & Santoro, in Carmel, NY. He brought his trial experience from Suffolk County to the people of Putnam County, handling complex criminal and matrimonial matters in courts throughout New York State.
Levy's no-nonsense approach to cases and reputation as a skilled trial attorney and advocate ultimately led to his election as District Attorney in Putnam County, where he lived with his family.
His daughter, lawyer Sarah Rose, is the law clerk on Judy Justice, where his mother, judicial icon Judge Judy Sheindlin presides.
Levy and his wife Lori have two other children, Jacob, who is a ski instructor and Emma, who just graduated college. In his spare time, he enjoys skiing, scuba diving, white water rafting, and spending time with his family.

Attorney Jessica Ramirez serves as the law clerk on CBS Media Ventures' new court program ADAM'S LAW created by Judge Judy Sheindlin. Over her career, Ramirez has specialized in serious personal injury, sexual abuse, medical device and product liability litigation.
She was a former State Assemblywoman and has served on the New Jersey Ethics Committee, as well as an Eminent Domain Commissioner for the State of New Jersey.
Her 25-year legal career has allowed her to serve her community and the unrepresented. She worked as a contract attorney for the Public Defender's Office of New Jersey representing indigent clients and juveniles.
Ramirez has been featured as a legal analyst on Fox News, The Oxygen Network and Dan Abrams' Law and Crime Network. She is a member of the American Association for Justice (AAJ) where she was selected as one of only 18 attorneys nationwide to participate in the AAJ Leadership Academy. She is also a member of The New Jersey Bar Association, The Hispanic National Bar Association and The New Jersey American Association for Justice.
A Puerto Rican native, Ramirez moved to New Jersey when she was eight years old. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Stockton University and her Juris Doctor from Seton Hall University of Law.

Rodney Young serves as the bailiff on CBS Media Ventures' ADAM'S LAW, created by Judge Judy. Over his career, Young has had over 20 years of private, corporate, and residential protection.
Most recently, Young worked with New Canaan Public Schools in Connecticut as an Elementary School Security Monitor where his duties included monitoring and patrolling the school grounds to ensure a safe and secure environment. He also collaborated with the School Resource Officer on safety and welfare matters.
Previously, Young was a public safety dispatcher for The Greenwich Police Department, where he received emergency calls and dispatched appropriate services including police, fire and EMS. He worked closely with the police dept. to assist with investigations as needed. He also managed and monitored the overall movement of all police and emergency units.
Young served in the United States Marine Corps as a Desert Storm veteran. In his spare time, he enjoys martial arts and personal training.

In 2017, the University of Southern California unveiled "The Sheindlin Forum" in Wallis Annenberg Hall at the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. The space, named in honor of Judge Sheindlin and her husband, Judge Jerry Sheindlin, provides a place to advance rigorous, civil discourse.
Judge Sheindlin was invited to speak at the Oxford Union, in Oxford, England in 2017 and Cambridge University, United Kingdom in 2019.
In 2024, Judge Sheindlin appeared in a Super Bowl commercial as "Judge Beauty," for e.l.f. Cosmetics featuring the cast of "Suits." It was one of the most talked about spots of "The Big Game." CNBC's Jim Cramer called it "the best" and the network touted her as "a powerhouse."
Over the years, Judge Sheindlin has received many other awards and distinguished honors. She is the recipient of the VP/Law Society Award from the University College of Dublin for her contributions to family law and legal academia. She has been honored with the Distinguished Alumni Award from New York Law School, the Woman of the 21st Century Award from The Women's Guild at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles and the Lifetime Achievement Award and a Presidential Medal from Hofstra University's School of Law.
Judge Sheindlin was included in The Hollywood Reporter's "Power 100," honoring the top 100 women in the entertainment business. She was also named International Spokesperson for North Shore Animal League America, to promote pet adoptions throughout the U.S. and the world.
Judge Sheindlin has delivered commencement addresses at University at Albany, SUNY, Elizabethtown College, New York Law School and the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine.
Along with her daughter, Nicole Sheindlin, she founded "Her Honor Mentoring," an initiative that combines the power of youth and the wisdom of experience to inspire young women to reach their full potential. "Her Honor Mentoring" is celebrating its 20th anniversary in the fall of 2026.
Born in Brooklyn, Judge Sheindlin attended college at the School of Government at American University in Washington D.C. After graduating she attended New York Law School, where she received her degree. She began practicing law in Manhattan in 1965, and holds honorary Doctor of Law degrees from Elizabethtown College in Pennsylvania, New York Law School and University at Albany, SUNY.
Judge Sheindlin is married to Judge Jerry Sheindlin, a former Judge of the Supreme Court of New York. They have five children, 13 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
